The cockpit cover 2 encloses the instrument cluster of the R1200GS. Additionally, two sockets with a fuse unit are integrated. This allows devices such as mobile phones or GPS units to be plugged directly into the cockpit, eliminating the need for the connection cable to be routed around the motorcycle. Thanks to the secured direct connection, charging is also possible with the ignition turned off, which is otherwise a problem with the R1200GS.
