The adapter in its basic form fits 98% of all motorcycle models. Its adjustability is complemented by a universal adapter for a 40 mm lowering. It is adjustable in increments of 4°. Generally, the basic adapter can be mounted either upwards or downwards. This allows you to achieve a natural ergonomics and a healthier seating position. The optimal leg angle is 90°. When the leg angle is bent, the blood vessels also bend, resulting in insufficient oxygen supply to the leg, which can lead to the dreaded varicose veins.After installation, the adapters can be adjusted so that the footpeg is positioned vertically downwards, keeping the distance to the shift and brake lever relatively constant. For the R1100RT, the elongated hole under the shift lever must be slightly enlarged to adjust the shift lever accordingly! Please note that on newer BMW models, nothing can be adjusted on the brake side.
