The upper chainguard in carbon for the Aprilia RSV 4 (2009-now) / Tuono V4 (2011-now) is a direct replacement for the original component and contributes mainly to weight saving on the motorcycle (up to 70% less) and a higher stiffness of the parts. Like all of our carbon fibre parts. it was made according to the latest protocols and industry standards and can be considered to encompass all aspects of current 'best of industry' practice. The part is made completely out of pre-preg carbon fibre materials using an autoclave. As with all our carbon parts. we use a clear plastic coating that not only improves the appearance. but also protects the carbon fibre from scratching and has a unique UV resistance.  

Winglets on a Motorcycle noticeably improve handling. The pressure on the front wheel is increased. the motorcycle is more stable during acceleration and deceleration. To improve all these stats. we made them bigger than original. With the same volume. it has a specific stiffness three times as high as steel and at the same time. due to its particularly low density. only a fraction of its weight.  In order to optimally protect this high-quality material from all kinds of environmental influences. we are the only carbon manufacturer worldwide to use a specially developed plastic coating on all surfaces. In combination with our clear varnish. This ensures a previously unattainable and unique depth effect. which allows the high quality of the material to come into its own.
