This crash bar is specifically designed to match the aesthetics of the R1200GS. It incorporates the lines and shapes of the elegant boxer engine and integrates them optimally into the overall look of the motorcycle. Despite these aesthetic demands, it is undoubtedly one of the best crash bars on the market, as it not only protects the cylinders but also stabilizes the engine housing through a bridge construction with predetermined bending points. This way, in most fall scenarios, there is not such a great load on this mounting thread, and the engine housing remains intact. It would indeed be a shame if the valve cover is protected, but the engine housing gets destroyed. The Touratech Suspension Lowering Kit. The set includes replacement fork springs and a replacement spring for the shock absorber. With this spring set, you achieve a sensible lowering of -50mm while maintaining consistently good riding characteristics - of course, some ground clearance is lost. The progressive springs are perfectly tuned to the BMW F800GS. After the conversion, the suspension offers significantly improved responsiveness and higher safety in critical situations.
