This sometimes had significant consequences for the engine. Over the past few years, we have tried and tested many air filters. We found the solution to our dust problem in Australia. This extremely robust exhaust system has been designed to seamlessly integrate into the lines of the motorcycle and uses a design that is employed in Akrapovič products for the adventure bike sector. The Touratech Engine Guard Expedition offers excellent protection against stone impacts and ground contact, effectively preventing damage. For maximum stability, the multiple folded recesses in the 4 mm thick aluminum base plate play a key role, while the force of an impact is distributed over 6 mounting points thanks to two additional 4 mm stainless steel mounting plates. The ground clearance is not restricted by these two base plates.

The original fender of the Pan America is very close to the front wheel. When using a TKC 80 or similar enduro tires, this distance is further reduced. At this point, even slight muddy passages can become a problem, as mud accumulates and the front wheel could block. The Touratech lift kit for the original fender of the Harley-Davidson Pan America is incredibly easy to install. A stainless steel intermediate adapter provides 15 mm more distance between the tire and the fender. The original fender is fully retained. The lift kit gives the vehicle a subtle off-road look and prevents the front wheel from blocking.
