The well-known and popular MRA Variotouring Screen (VTM) is a must-have for the R1300GS! Thanks to thoughtful engineering, the airflow is expertly and almost turbulence-free directed behind the adjustable spoiler. The 40cm long base screen provides good wind protection, while the mounted spoiler at the top of the screen completes the "work" almost silently. Here, it's not about the length but the sophisticated technology of the attachment spoiler. We have also improved the width here. The Touratech reinforcement strut creates an additional, fourth support point! This establishes a real, secure cage around the valve cover and cylinder head. Acting forces are reliably absorbed, distributed, and redirected to the appropriate location in the frame. Thus, the strut is an absolutely sensible addition to the original BMW engine protection bar, which lacks this support. Its three mounting points leave the rear, upper area entirely dependent on the strength of the tube alone. What may be sufficient for falls while stationary can quickly lead to serious problems during proper off-road use of the GS!
