The developers at Honda have created a motorcycle with the new Africa Twin that invites excursions into the terrain. Some of the positive off-road characteristics have been further improved by our Touratech developers. This engine protection is an absolute revolution! Touratech has placed great emphasis on stability and functionality. Major damages such as holes in the engine block can be effectively avoided with the large Touratech engine protection. For maximum stability, the multiple angled recesses in the 4 mm thick aluminum base plate play a key role, while the force of an impact is distributed over 6 mounting points thanks to an additional lower stainless steel mounting plate on the engine. The ground clearance is not restricted by these two base plates. Additionally, plastic rails at the lower part of the base plate ensure that the already recessed screw heads are completely covered. This means that the engine protection can still be easily removed even after heavy off-road use. Last but not least, the plastic rails facilitate the "sliding over" of stones, rocks, or tree stumps. Almost incidentally, they also prevent dirt from settling. All in all, the large Touratech engine protection for the Honda CRF1000L is a product that meets the highest technical demands and is visually an absolute "highlight"!
