For maximum stability, the multiple contoured recesses in the 4 mm thick aluminum base plate provide one aspect, while the force of an impact is distributed over 9 mounting points thanks to two additional 4 mm stainless steel mounting plates on the engine. The ground clearance is not restricted by these two base plates.
