To reduce dirt accumulation on the Ducati 848/1098/1198. we offer a longer version of the short rear 'hugger' fender in carbon as an alternative. Not only does it look good. the protective effect is also distinctly increased.
The rear mudguard reduces considerably the amount of dirt and spray thrown up by the rear wheel and provides much needed protection to the shock absorber and the underseat area. Referring to the different models and types of motorcycles. the rear hugger incorporates different stock suspension and tire sizes. Like all of our carbon fibre parts. it was made according to the latest protocols and industry standards and can be considered to encompass all aspects of current 'best of industry' practice. The part is made completely out of pre-preg carbon fibre materials using an autoclave. As with all our carbon parts. we use a clear plastic coating that not only improves the appearance. but also protects the carbon fibre from scratching and has a unique UV resistance.
