Waterproof (W)

The battery is completely waterproof and will not be damaged when the motorcycle is cleaned with high pressure.

 

Indicator (I)

All batteries are equipped with a battery status indicator.

Simply press the test button. If all 3 blue LEDs light up, the battery is fully charged (ful). If only 2 LEDs light up, it is only half charged (med). When only one LED lights up (low), the battery needs to be charged.

 

By replacing a standard lead-acid battery with a JMT lithium-ion battery, up to 5 kg of weight can be saved without significant effort.

 

The following advantages speak for JMT lithium-ion batteries:

- about 1/3 the weight of comparable lead-acid batteries

- unbeatable cost/weight savings ratio

- can be installed in any position, as no acid is contained

- contains no heavy metals

- balanced discharge/charge of all cells through balancer

- fast charging with high charging current possible (up to 90% in 6 min)

- very low self-discharge (max. 5% per month)

- still good performance at high temperatures up to 60°C

- safe technology and long lifespan

 

Lead-acid batteries can only utilize 30% of their capacity due to specific properties,

while lithium-ion batteries can utilize nearly 100% of their capacity.

 

For this reason, the lithium versions of JMT batteries require only 1/3 of the capacity of a comparable lead-acid battery for the same starting performance.

A uniform state of charge of all cells is also ensured by a built-in processor ("balancer").

The dimensions of the lithium-ion batteries match the dimensions of the original lead-acid batteries with the help of adapters.

The connections are also identical, allowing the battery to be replaced in just a few minutes without further adjustments.

 

Please note that only suitable chargers may be used for charging. We recommend JMP chargers.

The maximum recommended charging currents can be found in the technical data below.

 

 

Under no circumstances should chargers be used that attempt to desulfate deeply discharged batteries below 10 volts with a voltage of more than 14.9 volts before they begin the actual charging.

The maximum charging voltage of 14.9 volts must not be exceeded under any circumstances.

 

The manufacturer guarantees sufficient starting capacity down to -5 degrees Celsius.

 

Technology

JMT lithium-ion batteries use iron phosphate (LiFePO4) as cathode material and employ the lithium-polymer process in manufacturing.

This means they cannot catch fire or explode under normal operating conditions.

The technology and manufacturing process ensure the highest safety standards for lithium batteries.
