The cover under the frame (right) replaces the original part. The Ilmberger carbon cover is bolted to the standard mounting points. The carbon part is delivered with a matte finish, making it a perfect match for the partially standard or matte carbon parts offered by Ducati Performance.
The focus is on weight savings (typically a reduction of about 70% compared to the original component) and increased stiffness. The carbon part has been completely manufactured from prepreg material (see FAQ) according to the latest guidelines in an autoclave and, as is customary for us, coated with a clear plastic layer for protection against environmental influences in the next step.
This plastic coating significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But the coating not only excels technically; it also emphasizes the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure even more clearly.
