To further enhance the very successful design of the BMW F 800 R (2009-2011), the water cooler fairings in carbon have been significantly enlarged, thus concealing the view of the exposed water hoses and the radiator. This extremely successful design of the BMW F 800 R (2009-2011) is further emphasized by this relatively small change in design.
The carbon water cooler fairing replaces the original component using the original mounting points. The focus is on weight savings (typically around 70% savings compared to the original component) and increased stiffness. The carbon part has been completely manufactured from prepreg material (see FAQ) according to the latest guidelines in an autoclave and, as is customary with us, coated with a clear plastic coating for protection against environmental influences in the next step.
This plastic coating significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But not only does the coating excel technically, it also clearly emphasizes the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
