The carbon engine cover for the Ducati 1199 Panigale replaces the original component using the original mounting points. The focus is on weight savings (typically around 70% savings compared to the original part) and increased stiffness. The carbon part is manufactured entirely from prepreg material (see FAQ) according to the latest guidelines in an autoclave, and in the next step, as is customary for us, it is coated with a clear plastic layer for protection against environmental influences.
This plastic coating significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But not only does the coating excel technically, it also emphasizes the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure even more clearly.
