This newly developed connecting pipe, made of high-quality stainless steel, replaces the stock pre-silencer that contains the stock catalyst. It leads to a more direct exhaust flow, enhancing performance. With an enormous weight reduction of 79.2% (3.8 kg) compared to the original connecting pipe, this option also increases power by 3.2 kW (4.4 hp) at 8,600 rpm and torque by 5.6 Nm at 4,600 rpm when mounted with a Slip-On Line (Titanium) on a Ducati DesertX and compared to the stock system on the in-house Akrapovič test bench. This optional part delivers a sportier racing sound. It does not have EC/ECE type approval and has been developed exclusively for use on closed racetracks. It features a simple plug-and-play installation, with ECU re-mapping recommended.
With the installation, the EC/ECE type approval of the Slip-On Line (Titanium) is void.
The optional Link Pipe/Collector (SS) has been tested and developed together with the Slip-On Line (Titanium) system.
