The system consists of a high-quality, sandblasted, and lightweight titanium muffler outer shell with a black-coated stainless steel end cap, combined with a stainless steel connecting pipe and a pre-silencer. This is adorned with a stylish monochrome Akrapovič sticker on the muffler. Replacing the exhaust system not only affects the overall appearance of the motorcycle but also positively impacts the power-to-weight ratio. The system weighs 1.7 kg less (which means a weight saving of 29.2%) compared to the stock exhaust system. Additionally, it produces a power increase of 1.1 kW (1.5 HP) at 5,300 RPM and a torque increase of +1.9 Nm at 5,300 RPM, based on a test on the in-house Akrapovič dyno against a Z650RS with the stock system. This plug-and-play system offers a flawless throttle response in conjunction with a deep Akrapovič sound, and it requires no re-mapping of the ECU while meeting Euro 5 standards.
