The silencer housing is made of high-quality titanium, while the connecting pipe and the internal structure of the silencer are made of stainless steel. Equipped with an end cap and a heat shield made of carbon, this exhaust system reduces weight by 33.4% (1.1 kg). The new design gives the motorcycle excellent durability and individuality. With the newly developed heat shield, the package provides protection for the passenger while ensuring a unique overall appearance. A power increase of 1.8 kW (2.4 hp) at 9,400 rpm and a torque increase of 1.8 Nm at 8,100 rpm - compared to a Ducati DesertX equipped with the stock system and tested on Akrapovič's in-house dynamometer - is accompanied by a perfect response to the throttle. The exhaust system features an EU/ECE type approval and can be easily installed via plug & play, without the need for re-mapping.
Another upgrade can be achieved with the optional connecting pipe, which is designed for more power and a sportier sound experience.
By installing the optional link pipe (stainless steel), the EC/ECE type approval of the Slip-On-Line exhaust system (titanium) is void.
