In the development of this newly designed Titan silencer, the focus was on aesthetics, sound, and weight reduction. The embossed surface provides additional strength and durability. The silencer produces a deep sound and reduces the weight by 42.2% (1.8 kg) compared to the stock system. An end cap and a heat shield made of carbon complete the design; additionally, the connecting pipe and the internal structure of the silencer made of stainless steel round off the system. During the development phase, the Akrapovič engineers focused on the responsiveness. The performance values were increased by 0.8 kW (1.1 HP) at 7,900 RPM and a torque increase of 1.0 Nm at 8,000 RPM compared to a stock exhaust system, and tested on the Akrapovič test bench. The system meets the Euro5+ EU/ECE type approval, which will be valid from 2024. The previous regulation, Euro5, was valid until December 31, 2023. The plug-and-play installation means that no re-mapping is required.
