This is a complete exhaust system with EC/ECE type approval, consisting of an outer shell and an end cap for the silencer made of high-quality, lightweight titanium, as well as a link pipe and a header made of stainless steel, which is 0.7 kg lighter than the stock exhaust system. A catalyst is included, meeting the current Euro 5 approval criteria. On the Akrapovič test bench, a power increase of 1.5 kW (2.0 hp) at 9,200 rpm and a torque increase of 1.1 Nm at 5,000 rpm were recorded compared to a stock exhaust system. The deep, vibrant sound emphasizes the sporty qualities of the motorcycle. The pre-silencer is positioned underneath the motorcycle and is concealed by the fairing, while the silencer exits on the right side of the machine. The system is equipped with a handcrafted carbon heat shield. For the R7 without passenger footpegs, a black-coated aluminum silencer bracket is available as an option.
