This exhaust system has been completely newly developed and is made of lightweight materials that have been tested in motorsport. The silencer features an outer sleeve, a heat shield, and a clamp made of carbon. The end cap is made of titanium, while the header, resonator, and connecting pipe are made of stainless steel. The silencer mount is made of black-coated aluminum. This choice of materials has allowed for a weight reduction of 39.6% (3.2 kg) compared to the stock exhaust system. This exhaust system not only offers weight savings but also gives the motorcycle a sporty look by relocating it to the right side (instead of underneath the motorcycle, as is the case with the standard version). The carbon heat shield not only protects against heat but also provides an attractive appearance. Compared to a Suzuki GSX-8S equipped with the stock exhaust system, this one offers a power and torque increase of 4.7 kW (6.4 hp) at 9,200 rpm and 4.7 Nm at 7,650 rpm, as measured on the Akrapovič test bench.
The exhaust system features a resonator in the connecting pipe, providing the rider with a unique sound experience with a fast and vibrant tone without compromising performance. A simple plug-and-play installation eliminates the need for re-mapping.
This exhaust system is compatible with the original Suzuki saddlebag set.
