We have now succeeded in providing a lowering kit for the R1200ST rider that does not require the side stand to be removed.
The disadvantage we have calculated, that the side stand touches the mounting plate, is intentional and unavoidable. Otherwise, the lowering would not be possible, and it does not affect the lean angle. In this model, the adapters are not adjustable.
With the adapters, you achieve a lowering of 30mm.
The optimal leg angle is 90°. When the leg angle is bent, the blood vessels also bend, which means that the leg is insufficiently supplied with oxygen, leading to the dreaded varicose veins.
Please note that on newer BMW models, nothing can be adjusted on the brake side anymore. However, you will quickly get used to the changed foot position, just as you do in a car.
Please consider that lowering the footpeg also means less lean angle.
The advantage of these adapters is that the original footpeg is retained.
All items have been mounted and tested on original motorcycles - without any modifications.
