The Touratech crash bar extension is made from strong 25mm stainless steel tubes with an electropolished surface. If the extension is ever put to use due to a fall or tip-over, there’s no need to worry about unsightly rust spots on the scratches.
Additionally, the robust construction provides an ideal way to "grab" the motorcycle from the front, for example, to pull it out of the mud.
Despite its strong visual presence, the Touratech crash bar extension harmoniously integrates into the overall look of the F800GS.
Combined with the engine protection bar, this extension offers an ideal complement in both form and function!
The two bars can be easily and straightforwardly retrofitted to the original BMW engine protection bar.

Another advantage is that the engine protection is raised in the front area to such an extent that it also protects the oil filter and oil cooler.Additionally, plastic rails at the lower part of the base plate ensure that the already recessed screw heads are completely covered. This allows the engine protection to be easily disassembled even after heavy off-road use.
